Well believe it or not the Lockport Campus is officially 2 years old. Yep, time to stop wearing "onesies", better nix the pacifier, and roll out the potty chair.
In all seriousness it has been an awesome 2 years and to say I'm blown away at what God has done would be an understatement. Here is just a small recap of the past two years.
- 140 people have been baptized
- Over
300 kids have come to our 2 Summer VBS Program
- We
have supported over 40 children in Africa through the One Light Organization
- We have raised thousands of dollars for local ministries
- We have donated backpacks, food, and Christmas gifts to hundreds of families and organizations
- We have given away thousands of dollars in benevolence to help those in need.
- We have averaged nearly 450 people every Sunday since we've opened. Keep in mind we launched the campus with around 110 people. Quick math tells you that God is awesome!
Needless to say God has been very good to us and is doing amazing things in the lives of those that call Lockport home. I have been so honored to have been a part of seeing marriages restored, addictions fought, relationships healed, and seeing countless people accept Christ.
I have been blessed to work alongside one of the best staffs I've ever been a part of and hands down some of the hardest working volunteers I ever seen. This is a campus that desires more than anything to be the hands and feet of Christ and are working out their salvation every day to become more like Him.
With people like this and with God in the lead we are eager to see what the future holds.
Here are just a few things that I know God is leading this campus to:
- I believe with all my heart someday another Parkview Campus will launch out of the Lockport Campus. We as a a campus are praying for those leaders to rise up already.
- I believe this next year we will become a campus that isn't satisfied with where we are at but becomes even more hungry to impact our community for Christ. We are going to break out of our walls.
- I believe that the Lockport Campus will continue be a place that kids and adults get excited about having a relationship with Christ.
- Finally, I believe we will continue to be a Campus that is willing to do whatever it takes for people to meet Christ. We will put our own concerns and desires aside, as we go after the lost sheep knowing that Christ himself did that for us.
To all of you that have prayed for us...keep praying. For all of you that have been serving and volunteering...thank you and keep up the great work. For those of you that haven't seen us in action...come check us out, and bring a friend.
And for Jesus whose Church this ultimately is...thank You for our Love, Patience, and Mercy on all of us.
We need You more than ever.
Here's to the future!!!
