After a "short" drive on 294 we all arrived safely at O'Hare ready to go for our trip to Taiwan.
Here are the Top 10 things I've learned so far:
10. Cheering when your bag full of baseball equipment comes in at 49.5 pounds just .5 pounds under the limit does draw attention to your group.
9. Apparently, American Airlines has a policy to hug frequent fliers because 2 people in a row received hugs checking in. When I inquired about a possible hug for our group I was met with a glare from our hostess Israel. Don't worry, by the time we finished checking in she loved us. :)
8. Full body scans don't hurt nearly as much as I thought.
7. American Airlines employees also hug random travelers in the terminals after the security check point. What the heck!?
6. I felt more symphony for the two parents that flew with kids than ever before. Parker and Elijah you did awesome!
5. I have never been more confused about people travelling with pets than when I saw a woman carrying her Shitszu in the equivalent of a Baby Bjorn on the plane.
4. I have concluded Miley Cyrus should never be in another movie.
3. LAX SUX if you ask me. Don't get cranky, its true. :)
2. Meatloaf that costs $16 is not worth it.
1. Leaving my daughter at the babysitter's this morning was one of the hardest things I've ever done. :(
More to come when we land!!!
In all seriousness, please pray for our trip. It is going to be crazy and all of us won't know what day, time, or month it is when we land, but we will all be pumped to tell some people about Jesus!
